Bobby Beckmann is lead architect at Optaros, Inc., and has more than ten years of technology implementation experience in both product-driven organizations and professional services firms.

Prior to joining Optaros, Mr. Beckmann was a Group Technical Leader at CXO Systems, a .NET based enterprise dashboard solution company, where he was responsible for managing technical implementations, overseeing all client-facing technical resources, and collaborating with engineering to develop product roadmaps. While at CXO he led the architecture design process for clients such as British American Tobacco, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Department of Homeland Security.

Previously, Mr. Beckmann was a Senior Architect at Propel, Inc., a client-server software company serving over 25 million subscribers worldwide. In this role he designed and implemented various caching and compression algorithms designed to maximize software performance for network service providers throughout Canada, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and the United States.

In his earlier days, Mr. Beckmann was a member of the founding team at 12 Entrepreneuring that launched Grand Central Communications (formerly Grand Central Networks), award-winning provider of integration On DemandSM solutions. He also spent time at Cambridge Technology Partners and Scient managing developers, interacting with clients, and architecting client-server and web solutions. Some of his clients included: Realtor.com, Living.com, PersonalWealth.com, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Hughes Space and Communications, and Union Pacific Resources.

Mr. Beckmann holds a BS in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and is an expert in the following technologies: Python, PHP, .NET, RDBMS, C, OOA&D, XML, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, etc.), LDAP, MySQL, and Python. He currently lives with his family in Austin, TX.
