Optaros Announces New Vice President of Marketing
BOSTON — February 27, 2007 — Optaros Inc., a consulting and integration firm that provides enterprises with Next Generation Internet (NGI) applications leveraging open source software, today announced the appointment of Marc Osofsky to the position of vice president of marketing. In his role at Optaros, Osofsky will oversee the company’s go-to-market efforts and development of solutions that allow clients to engage and interact with audiences.

Osofsky has over fifteen years of experience in helping businesses leverage new technologies to achieve their business objectives. Before joining Optaros, Osofsky was vice president of marketing and product management at OATSystems, the leader in radio frequency identification (RFID) solutions. Prior to joining OATSystems he served as vice president of marketing, product management and business development at Frictionless Commerce, a leading enterprise software company in the strategic sourcing market. In his time with Frictionless, Osofsky led the company to a $20 million run-rate in two years and a subsequent acquisition by SAP. Osofsky began his career as a consultant at both McKinsey and Accenture.
