Webtrends and Bit.ly Pro – Webtrends is the analytics company that gets it

Bit.ly is deservedly getting a lot of attention for Bit.ly Pro.  A lesser noted aspect is that Webtrends is the first to incorporate Bit.ly Pro data into their analytics package.  (Full disclosure, we chose Webtrends as the analytics provider for our SaaS solutions – OCentric and OView.)  Webtrends has embraced the notion of assembled data and openness more so than the other analytics providers.  What enterprise marketers need is a web analytics partner that can stay on top of the innovation in the web space and bring it all together for them in a coherent view.

I’ve been piecing together data from Hubspot, Facebook, Bit.ly, Google Analytics, WordPress and more to try and get a full picture of what is going on and answer key questions.  This is a pain that limits the quality of the data and disproportionately shifts the time on data capture, cleansing and normalization instead of the valuable analysis and testing.
