It is often very difficult for end-users to tell developers what to build and that is why an interactive approach to requirements gathering works so well. OptAM encourages users to “play” with different approaches and options and to make suggestions along the way. As the users learn more about what works and doesn’t work the application design takes shape. We use a visual and highly iterative approach to design. During workshops, we identify the users, define their interactions with the proposed system, create user task scenarios and craft wireframes to illustrate the application. This makes testing simple and intuitive – the users envision performing the tasks and are able to assess how well the mocked up application supports their needs.
