When Swisscom Mobile challenged our Zurich team to design a total overhaul of the Labs public beta website in just 4.5 working days, some said that it couldn't be done. And they were right - it took 5 days! This project proved the value of two things we pride ourselves on at Optaros: methodology and experience. The methodology included our Design Workshops, where stakeholders and users follow their path to completing a task using rough screen mockups called wireframes. This visual approach gives stakeholders, users, designers, and developers a better understanding of features and functionality than any other tool I've worked with. Without this refined methodology to point the way, getting good results in such a short time really would have been impossible! The experience included the over 40 years of collective experience on the small but powerful Optaros team, and the confidence we had in our process. Like all of our clients, Swisscom Mobile had complete transparency into every facet of the design work. They could see that we knew how to go about this web-design stuff, and their confidence enabled us to spend less time on status reports and more time designing a website.
