The online electronics store Digitec is the 2009 e-commerce high-flyer in Switzerland:
Over the last two years, Digitec has catapulted themselves into Switzerland’s Top 10 list of most successful e-commerce businesses.
This was the conclusion of a representative questionnaire from the University of St. Gallen, made for the study, “Der Schweizer Online Handel – Internetnutzung Schweiz 2009” (Swiss e-commerce – Internet Usage Switzerland 2009), presented last week at the Internettag conference in Zurich.
The Swiss press has already published several overviews of Digitec and the three founders: Marcel Dobler, Oliver Herren and Florian Teuteberg (for German links, see our German blog).
The company hasn’t published any revenue figures, but it is known that they ship up to 1,000 orders daily and currently have 167 employees.
