Olivier Pépin is a Technical Lead and Architect at Optaros and has almost 10 years of experience in delivering technology solutions in diverse enterprise environments for professional services firms. Mr. Pépin is leading the Optaros Open Source Enterprise Architecture expertise in Europe.

Prior to joining Optaros, Mr. Pépin has served as a Solution Architect for Cambridge Technology Partners where he has designed and delivered large scale enterprise application integration projects for Orange Communications Switzerland - a major European Telco operator. His main assignments were:

  • Technical lead of a major CRM platform release including an e-commerce website integrated with the enterprise legacy systems (SAP, Documentum, Billing, Payment platform, etc.) using SOA architecture.
  • Architect and team leader for corporate and self-care B2C Portal implementation based on Weblogic, Interwoven and in-house J2EE framework.
  • Architect and quality control manager for open source J2EE projects outsourced in Eastern Europe (JBoss, Spring, Hibernate, Struts, Cruisecontrol)
  • Project manager and technical lead for several web portal releases (J2EE, Weblogic).

Previously Mr. Pépin worked as software engineer for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young where he has been involved in various industry sectors:

  • Design and delivery of an authentication and authorization J2EE platform for the French Department of Transport’s set of web based applications. (Struts, EJB, Web services, PKI, Strong authentication)
  • Architecture for massive extraction and printing of enterprise customers bills for France Telecom.
  • Design and delivery of a J2EE e-procurement catalog management application for Legrand, the world specialist in products and systems for electrical installation.
  • Member of the implementation team for a distributed submarine simulator for the French Defense Industry (C++, ILog view, real-time system integration)

In his earlier days, Mr. Pépin was system and security administrator for computer assisted design and product data management platforms in a missile engine construction firm (Celerg Aerospatiale subsidiary).

Mr. Pépin graduated from the ENSEIRB, France's top engineering school in Computer Sciences, where he specialized in networks and distributed systems.
